Father Gerry’s 50th Anniversary video
We welcome Father Tim, a guest priest, as Father Gerry enjoys a well deserved break. Father Gerry is back this week, and will preside over this weekend’s masses.
Some key points from Father Tim Silver’s sermon based on the Gospel (Matthew 21:33-43): Will you let Jesus into the vineyard of your heart?
- The fruits that are pleasing to God, the vineyard owner, and is looking to harvest from His vineyard are: joy, peace, love, kindness, modesty, generosity, chastity, faithfulness, and gentleness.
- The vineyard is the good soil of our hearts.
- Jesus is there in His work clothes, with tools in hand and team (angels and saints) ready. All to help us cultivate the good fruits (not stink berries) from our hearts .
- A young musician friend of Father Tim, went to the alpha program in his parish, despite a lot of reservations and hesitation. In Alpha, Father Tim’s friend experienced an epiphany in Jesus and filled with the spirit, is now a leader in the alpha program. Learn more about the alpha program here.
